Here Is Homemade Seafood Paella Recipe

The dish is seasoned with saffron, which gives it its distinct yellow color and flavor. Paella is a popular dish in Spain and is often served at celebrations and family gatherings. It has also become popular around the world and can be found in many Spanish and Mediterranean restaurants.

Here is a recipe for Seafood Paella:


Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of mixed seafood (such as shrimp, mussels, clams, and squid)
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups of short-grain rice (such as Arborio or Valencia)
  • 4 cups of seafood or chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon of saffron threads
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large paella pan or oven-proof skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion, garlic, and bell peppers and cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the rice to the pan and stir to coat with the oil and juices from the vegetables.
  4. In a separate saucepan, heat the broth over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Add the saffron and smoked paprika and stir to combine.
  5. Pour the seasoned broth over the rice mixture in the paella pan, and stir everything together.
  6. Arrange the mixed seafood on top of the rice mixture.
  7. Cover the paella pan tightly with aluminum foil, and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and the liquid has been absorbed.
  8. Remove the foil and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the top of the paella.
  9. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
